As the twinkling lights of Christmas cast their warm glow upon us, we gather to witness the union of two hearts, Don and Audra - five years to the day of their first date. Their love story, like the spirit of the season, is filled with warmth, generosity, and a deep, abiding joy. On this special night, we will celebrate the magic of their commitment, the promise of a future filled with love and laughter, and the enduring power of a love. May their love story be as merry and bright as the Christmas season itself.

    Parking and entry

    UPDATED: Parking & Entry

    Parking and VIP passes to Great America were emailed on Monday, December 2nd with the subject "Your Great America Tickets Are Here!". Click "Link 1" to view your ticket(s).


    Enter the parking lot through the primary driveway, then head to the VIP Pavilion entrance to the left of the main entrance. For parking, it is in line with row 2.  The same barcode you use for parking will also provide you entry into Great America. 


    A special VIP entrance is available via the main parking lot at the pavilion entrance. Please do not go to the main entrance. The VIP Pavilion entrance will be open from 3 - 4:30 pm. We highly recommend arriving between 3:30 - 4, as the VIP entrance will close at 4:30, and later arrivals will need to. enter through the main entrance. This may delay your ability to attend the ceremony and/or reception.

    3:00pm: VIP Pavilion Entrance Opens for Guests

    3:00pm – 4:35pm: Appetizer & Refreshments Hour

    4:30pm: Pavillion Entrance Closes for Guests. Guests arriving after 4:30pm will enter via the primary entrance. Note - this is not recommended as you will not receive the proper VIP wedding guest identification, and may experience issues with admittance to the ceremony and reception.

    5:00pm: Ceremony Begins

    5:37pm: Ceremony Ends with Tree Lighting

    5:40pm: Guests Escorted from Celebration Plaza to VIP Pavilion

    6:00pm - 6:15pm: Wedding Party Entrance

    6:15pm - 6:30pm: Speeches/Toasts

    6:30pm - 7:30pm - Dinner

    7:30pm - Special Surprise Guest Arrival

    7:45pm - Cake Cutting

    8:00pm - 11:00pm: First Dance Followed by Open Dancing

    8:20pm - 10:00pm: Guests Free to Explore Park

    10:00pm - Park Closes

    11:00pm: Conclusion of Reception

    The wedding and reception will be held at California's Great America amusement park in Santa Clara, California. The wedding will be taking place behind Carousel Columbia, with the reception to follow in the VIP pavilion. 

    The wedding ceremony will start at 4:45 PM. Due to Great America being open to the public, we advise you arrive by 4:00 PM in case of heavy traffic and allowing time to park.

    Once your attendance is confirmed, you will be issued a personal/family barcode you will need to present to the parking attendant and security at the pavilion VIP entrance.

    Yes! Weather permitting, your attendance to our wedding also includes full access to the park. You can enjoy the many roller coasters and family friendly attractions, or take a casual stroll to enjoy the holiday lights. 

    The event is semi-formal. We recommend considering bringing a change of clothes if you plan to ride any of the amusement park rides or comfortable shoes to change in to. 

    We recommend searching for hotels or home rentals through Airbnb or Vrbo in the following areas which fit your budget/needs: Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino and Campbell.

    YES! This is an all-ages celebration and children are welcome to attend!

    We will have the ceremony in the Great America Theater and the reception will be in the VIP pavilion. We will have indoor activities and can still walk through the park to enjoy the lights; however, rides will not be available.
